Web 2.0

February 4, 2007

Blogs, wiki’s, podcasts, oh my!. Not to mention RSS, feeds, syndication. And then there’s tags, metadata, cloudlists and more.

If there is one thing that web 2.0 surely is it’s a jargon fest! For the most part, none of this is particularly necessary for an end user (that’s you!) to take advantage of the best of the web today. Then again I think it’s worth exploring some of the jargon. This post will be continually updated with links, notes and ideas on all things web 2.0.

Most jargon aside I am equally, if not more, interested in the social aspects of the net, pervasive technology… I hope to carry on this discussion around here as well if anyone’s up for it.

If you’re looking for a quick history of the new interactive web this video is definitely worth watching*.

* I’m also hopeful that after a while you’ll still consider all the video around here worth watching but then again you can’t …something about people and time!
