Environmental Assessment of Bruce New Build Project underway.

A series of open houses put on by Bruce Power over the last week is going to be part of a formal environmental assessment of the Bruce new build project. President and CEO of Bruce Power Duncan Hawthorne says that when the time comes to make decisions, he wants to have the approvals in place. Future development includes plans for several new nuclear reactors and so with consideration to the environment these events have been scheduled to bring the public up to date and to involve them in deciding the future of nuclear energy.

The event will take place March 27, 2007 from 6-9 pm at the
Best Western Inn on the Bay, 1800 2nd Ave. E, Owen Sound
