The Undesirables
The Undesirables, one of two returning acts from last years Summerfolk are coming to town on June 3rd. They will be contributing to “The Road to Summerfolk”, a unique opportunity for young musicians aged 13-20 to glean some pearls of wisdom from professionals with experience in all aspects of the musical life. Workshops and mentoring sessions will cover recording, business and promotions, the art of song, performing with confidence and playing with others. “The Road to Summerfolk” is taking place at The Old Courthouse building, 1235 3rd Ave. East, Owen Sound from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Contact Ian Scott at irscott [@] persona.ca if you would like to attend.
After the workshop program The Undesirables will be heading over to the Mudtown Pottery building at 1835 3rd Ave East, Owen Sound, across the road from the Bayshore Community Centre. At 7 p.m. the doors will be opening for what promises to be an intimate show with one of the most mesmerizing roots-folk acts touring these days. The show will begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $10. The Undesirables have just had a new CD release and are updating their site. As a result the music that was available in this post is no longer. We will keep an eye on their site and see if we can bring you some fresh tracks from their new album. Keep checking in!
