“The Song of Owen Sound” to be Performed!

June 8, 2007

Forever Young Follies is presenting the world premiere of “The Song of Owen Sound” during its performances at the Roxy Theatre next week. “The Song of Owen Sound” was written by 80+ year old Evelyn Robson and arranged by Don Buchanan for the Forever Young Choir. It ties in with the theme for this year’s show, “Down Memory Lane”, with a particular emphasis on Owen Sound’s 150th birthday.

The Forever Young Follies troupe makes for great entertainment! Down memory Lane is a wonderful variety show by one of the most dedicated bunch of “youngsters” in this area. Help them raise funds for local charities by coming and having a wonderful time with them. Forever Young Follies perform Tuesday June 12 at 2 pm and Wednesday June 13 at 7 pm at the Roxy Theatre in Owen Sound. Tickets are available at the door or in advance by calling Kay Howe at 519 376-9492.

Over the past 10 years the Forever Young Follies have donated more than $35,000 to local charities. For more information contact director Pauline Green at 519 372-0825.
