Editor’s note: We received this press release concerning the winners of the student writing contest, “Write @ Your Library” from Nadia Danyluk, the Children & Youth Services Librarian at the Owen Sound & North Grey Union Library. We are happy to be able to pass the information on to you, with a congratulations out to all who participated.

The Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library would like to thank all of the students across Grey and Bruce Counties that submitted their creative works to this year’s Write @ Your Library contest.

We would also like to give a big thank you to all of the public libraries across the twin counties, Hanover, Meaford, West Grey, Grey Highlands, Bruce County and Leonard E. Shore, who once again partnered with us to make this initiative a success; to the judges, who spent their time reading all of the submissions; and of course to The Sun Times, whose generous support helps keep this contest going.

This year we had over 40 individuals enter their creative work to Write @ Your Library. The first place winners in all categories were published in a special edition of The Sun Times on June 19th. If you would like to read more stories and poems from our local youth talent check out the Write for 2007 anthology, available at all participating libraries across Grey and Bruce! Copies are available for purchase from the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library for $5.
