Whether we crossed paths, or if he was overtaking me in the same direction, he'd always stop for a quick chat. This is truly a great loss, but the inspiration he provided to the city and the region will doubtless continue in his absence. I think it's great what you guys have created here with theOwen.com; working abroad it keeps me current on what is happening at home, and makes me long to be back there.
