Youth and Technology

We asked the group to throw together some ideas on how youth interact with technology/the Internet. Here’s the response from team two…

I would like to see more of “safe” sites for younger kids. I also think there should be pop up blockers for more sites because not all pop up blockers are appropriate for younger kids. I think if the younger kids play on games they should get an adult to see if the game is appropriate like no sex, drugs or violence. There should be less virus’ because some people don’t know if theres going to be a virus or not. But so far they have been pretty good so far with keeping the pop ups not popping up. I think they should have more security for some sites that aren’t good for younger children. The internet is pretty safe but it could be better.
