Tonight Marks the 2nd in Monthly Bicycle Cruiser Rides!

Cruiser Ride Participants
This evening Owen Sound will experience the 2nd in a monthly series of bicycle cruiser rides. Hipster cruisers will be congregating between 6:30 and 7 pm at the north end of the Bayshore Community Centre parking lot.

The event was an enormous success last month, as we documented here at theOwen.com. Shawna Banville-Owen Sound's Most Famous Belly DancerLast month the hepcat cruisers met at the Bayshore Community Centre parking lot, applied old hockey cards to their forks with laundry pins, and rolled on down to Harrison Park for a potluck picnic with goat’s cheese and roasted peppers. The route then led us to Jazzmyn’s Tapas and Taps where we celebrated the birthday of Shawna Banville, Owen Sound’s most famous belly dancer. It was a magical motley crew out to enjoy their bicycles and spread the thought that bikes are fun and low on carbon emissions.

You can be a part of this month’s Bicycle Cruiser Ride experience! Really all you need is a bicycle, the means to pedal it, and a smile! If you really want to get involved you could get into costume, or you could create a totally new type of bicycle, or maybe you could bring something novel to the potluck picnic such as food or entertainment of some sort. Hopefully we’ll see you at the government boat ramp at the north end of the Bayshore Community Centre parking lot tonight between 6:30 and 7 pm!!
