Live Soundtrack for Spooky Silent Film

Don’t miss the 1922 classic silent film Haxan, or Witchcraft Through the Ages, Saturday, November 1st, at 7pm at the Downtown
Bookstore in Owen Sound. Shown with a live soundtrack performed by area musicians Charles Glasspool, Joshua Richardson, Bob Daniel, Jonathan O’Leary, and more. The evening also includes theworld premiere of local filmmaker Isaiah Walters’ spine chilling short film,“Separations”. And, Steve Santini, the Dark Master of Escape, will be displaying some of his collection of Medieval torture instruments for the audience.
Haxan: The Witchcraft Through the Ages is the most expensive silent film in history. It was filmed by Danish filmmaker, Benjamin Christensen, between 1919 and 1922 and is considered a classic of the silent film era.
