   “The mainstream media is a dangerous fraud” – well, maybe, but I don’t think the tinfoil-hat crowd has a monopoly on truth in reporting… and buying into their chemtrail-induced shadow-government conspiracy theories is likely just as dangerous, and just as fraudulent.

   Thanks for responding to the article that Ryan so graciously posted to his site- I wish to thank him very much. I would also like to point out that he is independent media and therefore has no corporate CEO in some foreign nation that in most cases is a major share holder in one of the multinational banking institutions orchestrating the coming DEPRESSION. Hence he has the freedom to print information that reveals this ever important issue.
   I am sure you are speaking metaphorically about tin hats, and chem-trails – I will leave you to do the research on that, as I know little about it.    I saw the Obama Deception and thought it was excellent. The producer Alex Jones
   is perhaps the most respected non-mainstream media journalists around. His work
   is based on well researched facts- hope you will check it out.

   Unless you’ve been living under a box, or permanently off-line, you’ll know that this video is freely available all over the place, just search google for the title; watching in the privacy of your own home you may be less likely to fall into group-think and peer pressure to agree on points that maybe aren’t presented completely truthfully.

   I won’t discount what the film says, I don’t have the resources to be so glib as to call them foil-hat wearers, but do keep in mind that Alex Jones makes his living spreading all sorts of Conspiracy ‘theories’ and keep in mind too how, just as with going to a psychotherapist, “because it fits the facts” is NOT an explanation or even a theory, it is a CONJECTURE, and nothing more. That said, there are details presented that you can later verify, and like the Michael Moore anti-Bush and anti-Gun films, they are betting that MOST viewers will do nothing of the sort. For example, the above cited forced military service is nothing of the sort, it is a forced VOLUNTEER service, much like what we do for all high-school kids.

   Here’s some suspicious data: Do a google search for “hard hitting documentary” and “explodes the myth” in conjunction with “Obama Deception” and you’ll see the verbatim “review” posted 177,000 times without question, without comment, without even so much as a disclaimer. That smells of a conspiracy right there, an orchestrated and well-timed maneuver to catapult the film into public consciousness AS IF it was a great film.

   A further suspicious deception: The film is CALLED the “Obama” deception and yet the thesis of the film says Obama is a mere puppet in a larger conspiracy stretching back to WWII and beyond — the title is specifically intended to evoke outrage and division, hardly an ethic you would expect from folks bent on saving the planet, but perfectly in keeping with folks who want to fearmonger so as to sell some books.

   Dear Anonymous Coward;

   The Obama Deception deals in easily verifiable information. In particular Obama’s Campaign policy to, “Bring all the troops out of Iraq,” upon election- we are now going to wait almost two years until Obama will consider this pull-out. Many are considering George W Bush a war criminal for invading Iraq under false pretenses (Weapons of Mass Destruction & Iraqs involvement in 9/11) All unproven rhetoric or even “conjecture” if you will on behalf of Bush and more over Dick Cheney. However regardless of Obama’s hot outfits and awesome speaking skills unless he stops that war he to is a war criminal. I am not sure exactly what conspiracy theory means, but what I just stated here is FACT.

   Obama continues to break almost every campaign promise he made and the ones he is carrying out are often with deceptive agendas. This film is designed to present the facts. People are looking for Peace and Justice- unless we have the Truth these things are not possible. By showing this film in a public meeting I seek a unity among the community that embraces the freedom and liberty of the individual as the most sacred of all concerns combined with health and life itself.

   I agree “Group Think” is dangerous- hence the mindless “Obama Craze.” He is
   being praised as another JFK- Kennedy refused to fight wars, he instituted civil rights,he instituted true environmentalism and most importantly had ordered the PRIVATELY owned Federal Reserve closed. Until Obama embraces his true
   obligation to protect the American Constitution he is indeed nothing more than a
   DECEPTION.

   As an Alternative Indi Media Journalist I speak to many people in Owen Sound.
   One of the most alarming trends is the growing amount of people that see Obama as a leader for all of North American. People are now heralding their
   “North American Citizenship” People need to look past the candy coated propaganda in the mainstream media that paints Obama as a Messiah. Obama
   is an agent of Wall St. – A puppet for the International Finance Oligarchs who have
   intentionally bankrupted almost every third world nation on Earth. Canada is next
   in line. These oligarchs own establishments like Associated Press and Reuters
   outright. World Government is on its way and the press sells it as the solution to
   all our problems, when in fact it is the reason for all the turmoil in the world.

   I don’t seek to sell books, films or t-shirts with my grubby face on it. I have a vision
   of liberty and freedom fro the people. Unfortunately Obama is not someone who
   is seeking a similar ideal. Furthermore an End of Canada as we know it is potentially a hard reality we must resist as a North American Union between Canada, USA and Mexico is essentially already here. 2010 is the stated deadline
   for full Canada, US, Mexico “Full Integration” That is also information available
   directly from the Canadian Government google Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) Another agenda promulgated and ran by the International finance oligarchs that own Reuters, Associated Press, Via comm and other media/news services.

   Hopefully you will snap out of being an Anonymous Coward and become a Brave
   Truth Seeker that unites with a growing contingent of the community that seeks
   to save our nation, our liberties, our freedom and indeed our very lives.

    The Deception is the Deception

    Alex Jones is an entrepreneur.
    His product is distrust of authority.
    He knows there is always a market for this, because people have doubts and fears and no human can know or control everything.
    The agenda of Alex Jones is to exploit those fears and exploit those doubts for his own personal profit.

    We hear it all the time from Alex Jones “buy my dvds”, “read my book”, “visit my website”, “tune in to my radio show”, “subscribe for just pennies a day”.

    Thus, no good deed, no good policy, no good speech, no good action, no success, no right decision, no problem solved, no noteworthy accomplishment that President Obama could ever make will be lucrative to Alex Jones, unless he injects fear and deception into it. Anything good the President could ever do taints the image Alex Jones is marketing, so he has to skew it to fit into his agenda.

    And what of the listener? My opinion is that most of the listeners want Alex Jones message. It is like ear candy to them. They need to believe that Obama is secretly evil, something about that satisfies them.

    Thus demand needs supply and supplier is happy to meet demand, but truth is out of the equation.

    If Alex released it for free online (or even if he allowed it) it’s for promotional purposes of his show, from which he gains advertising revenue. He wants new listeners to tune in to his weekly fear rants. His “free” version also has ads running through it, encouraging the viewer to purchase a higher quality copy.

    I agree that the SPP is something to be concerned with. Though I doubt with Obama’s skepticism of NAFTA (which presumably doesn’t even go as far as SPP) and semi-protectionist policies that it’s going to amount to much more than a series of talks.

    The NDP naturally backs these kinds of fears of a North American Union because their mandate has and always will be to detach Canada as much as possible from the U.S. What’s sad is that American environmental policies in particular are far more forward-thinking than Canada’s, and if this fear-mongering succeeds Canada may be left in the dust.

    What bothers me Doug, is that genuine concerns over border security, or other feasible bi-products of the SPP are going to be ignored if people like you keep making statements like “Canada as we know it will no longer exist by the year 2010″. 99% of your readership is going to ignore everything you have to say when they realize you’re making wild presumptions.

    In fact I wonder, with your libertarian politics, why you’re so against the idea of a closer union between the US and Canada. You want less taxes and looser gun control? Sounds like paradise to me.
