Turn Off The Screens Week

pause to playLots of kids hate it, even some parents do! But once again it’s creeping up quickly…

For 7 days in 2009, April 27 to May 3, students and their families are challenged to Turn Off The Screens (TVs, computers and video games) except for homework.

See how much fun your family can have without TV… hey, maybe the kids will find out how much fun us parents really are! And, ya, I’m gonna say it, maybe, just maybe they’ll enjoy hanging out with us too!

Each student can print a log-sheet, to be signed by a parent/guardian for turning off the screens.
All reduced screen time entries will be eligible for prizes! Imagine that, you’re outside (or in playing board games) hanging out and having fun and you can win prizes too. It just doesn’t get any better!

The 3 Grey Bruce schools with the greatest percentage of log sheets returned will receive gift certificates for sporting goods equipment!
