3rd Annual Book Walk in Downtown Owen Sound – pick up a passport at the Library or any bookstore on 2nd Ave. E. – get your passport stamped at 7 of the 8 locations and you’re eligible to win some prizes! Book walk runs Friday through till Saturday.

Rotary Huron Shore Run starts in Southampton (walk, run or rollerblade) – pledges are collected… all proceeds go to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital.
3rd Annual Chocolate Gala in Southampton at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre
Port Elgin Legion is a busy place on Saturday with a meat raffle in the afternoon and a dance & pub night with “Country Motion”
Swing for a Cure in Meaford – 10th anual Women’s Golf Tournament for Breast Cancer… sign in at 10:30 and12:00 noon start. 18 holes.
Doors Open Owen Sound (& Trails Open Inglis Falls) – This year’s theme is Uniquely Owen Sound. The 20 participating sites will help you better understand our marine and rail heritage, local connections to the women’s rights movement and the Underground Railroad, artist Tom Thomson, military/aviation history and First Nations’ heritage.
Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library is a hub of activity on Saturday with Family Fun Games Day (presented in part by The Rocking Horse) and the Grand Opening of the Children and Youth Services Department.
Heritage Days and Veteran’s Commemoration at the Billy Bishop Museum in Owen Sound.
