South West LHIN

July 17, 2009

In 2006, the Ontario government created Local Health integration Networks (LHINs) to plan, coordinate and fund local health services.

The South West LHIN is working to update their three-year integrated Health Service Plan so they are hosting a series of cummunity sessions throughout the area to:

- Share information about current trends and issue
- Listen to ideas and concerns about the health care system
- Celebrate recent enhancements to the health care system
- Receive feedback feedback on proposed priority areas for improvements

These public forums will have an ‘open house’ format allowing people to participate in a variety of ways. While there is no requirements to arrive right at the start, you may want to plan for a one-hour time commitment.

Sessions in our area:
Owen Sound on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at the Bayshore, 1900 3rd Ave. E. from 7 to 9 p.m.
Lion’s Head on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Arena, 30 Tackabury Street from 7 to 9 p.m.
Kincardine on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Davidson Centre, 601 Durham Street from 7 to 9 p.m.
